YES Philosophy The research shows that students engaged in solving hands-on and real-life problems are better motivated to memorize and pursue new knowledge. Through our tutoring program students will experience first hand project-based learning. Math will no longer be boring numbers in a heavy textbook, but exciting construction and business projects that will not only allow children to better understand the most complex concepts and to make connections with real life scenarios. Together with the Language Arts tutors, students will be writers, journalists and literature critics, becoming proficient in the Language Arts curriculum as they acquire solid communication skills that will prepare them for success in school and in life. WE BELIEVE THAT PARENTS MUST BE A PART OF THE LEARNING PROCESS! Learning is not only a school affair; it is also a family affair. Tutors will work to engage parents as part of the learning process. Our curriculum is designed to allow for parents and students to work together. We will also hold monthly meetings with parents to establish a forum to discuss students’ progress, receive feedback and update on curriculum changes.

La Matemática ya no sera más un libro pesado, lleno de números aburridos, sino una construcción excitante y proyectos de negocios que no solamente permitirá a sus hijos comprender mejor los conceptos más complejos, si no que hará conecciones con escenarios de la vida real. Juntos con los tutores de Artes de Lenguaje, losestudiantes serán escritores, jornalistas y críticos de la literatura; convirtiéndose diestros en el currículo de Artes de Lenguaje mientras que adquieren sólidas destrezas de comunicación que los preparán para el éxito. CREEMOS QUE LOS PADRES DEBEN SER PARTE DEL PROGRESO DE APRENDIZAJE! El aprendizaje no es solamente una tarea escolar; es también una tarea familiar. Los tutores trabajarán para comprometer a los padres como parte de el proceso de aprendizaje. Nuestro currículo ha sido diseñado para que los padres y estudiantes trabajen juntos. También, estaremos organizando reuniones mensuales con los padres para establecer un debate y discutir el progreso del estudiante, recibir consejería crítica y actualizar cambios en el currículo. |
